Lord Jesus Christ,
Have mercy on me, a Sinner.

For I am not like those
Who persecuted, and condemned
You to execution: ‘For they do
Not know what they do’ (Luke 23:34).

You asked the Father to forgive Them,
But do I deserve forgiveness when I know
What I do? I do, think
And act upon what I
Know to be wrong, and with
That knowledge of my wrong
Choice I condemn myself,
And return into your loving
Arms of forgiveness.

Forgive me Father, For I have put away childish things, (1 Corinthians 13:11)
But yet still I sin: in a
Way that only a grown man can.
Forgive the children and ignorant
For they are innocent.
Forgive me because I condemn myself.
